The International Association for Hospice and Palliative Care (IAHPC) and the End-of-Life Nursing Education Consortium (ELNEC) are pleased to announce the launch of the 2025 Summer Course "Palliative Care Basics Course."
This 6-module course is designed for IAHPC members who wish to increase their knowledge and skills in care provision for persons with palliative care needs. The content of the course is applicable to all professionals working in different settings and living in countries in all income levels. Every module will last approximately 90 minutes. Registrants who are unable to attend the live sessions may access the recordings later. IAHPC members who complete all modules (live and/or recorded) will receive an IAHPC certificate of completion. This course does not provide CME credits.
Module 1 topic is Overview of Palliative Care Nursing and will be taught live on Thursday, July 31 (7am PT, 10am EST, 4pm CET, 2pm GMT). Faculty for Module 1 is Doctor Betty Ferrell, RN, PhD, Director of Nursing Research & Education and Professor at the City of Hope Medical Center in Duarte, California, USA. The moderator for the session will be Dr. Billy Rosa, IAHPC member and Assistant Attending Behavioral Scientist Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York.
